Daniel Johns and Luke Steele (of The Sleepy Jackson and Empire of the Sun fame) have been friends for a long time, and have been making music together since 2004. In 2018 they released their debut album 'No-one Defeats Us' which features the first and second singles 'No-One Defeats Us' and 'Silence', with a third single, 'Love To Live', just released. In an interview with Aussie comedian and renowned interviewer Andrew Denton, Daniel explains the constant evolution of his writing, saying he doesn't like to write the same kind of thing twice. DREAMS is essentially the product of that writing process, and features elements of several music genres all melded into one. He explains it even further on their official website - "The essence behind DREAMS is finding the most modern ideas and then having some kind of connection to the past."
